One of the Academy's finest students and Artist's Ellen Blane entered a competition at The Millfield Theatre in Edmonton. It was a fantastic showcase competition with many really talented young people entering including rappers, dance acts, bands and singers.
Ellen sang a brand new track she had just created in The Academy's Studio called Sunset and decided to try and come out of her comfort zone and perform the song at the Theatre.
The event was judged by Mobo Winners, Paralympic Gold Medalist and the Director of the Millfield. For her efforts she came first. She took away a two days recording in a professional studio and got to gain more experience in front of a crowd. Her next step in finishing her album at aged 15 and then performing at lots of big events so watch this space!

Utter Once has debuted his album which is due to hit radio stations around the UK.
He has been a fantastic tutor at the academy and takes pride in teaching young people and adults everything he knows when it comes to production, mc'ing and performances. He has also won a MOBO in the past and having him on board has been fantastic as all the young people love working with him and so do the staff.
He does make it look easy peasy!

Two of the Academy’s groups of young people were entered into Boroughs United competition in February @ The Hackney Empire.
Krissy Sims who runs the Academy saw star qualities in all 4 young people so after working on tracks and performances with the fantastic staff at the Academy we decided to enter them into this amazing showcase run by The Cribz every year for over ten years.
The fantastic performances included dance acts, rappers, singers and the level was at a high standard. The final winners coming first place were Ellen Blane and The FH Krew from Enfield.
The work paid off for what the organisation is about and goes to prove these kind of course and workshops really do create and enhance talent. See the performance here!!

After completing a seven week course at Broomfield Secondary School young people worked with the team at the Academy after school for an hour and a half working on putting together a live performance at the Christmas event in December. All 12 students created their very own piece of music using live instruments, computer music, writing there very own lyrics and all worked hard together to get their performance ready for the big event.
Congratulations to all of the students in such little time they did a fantastic job and even got to use this piece of work towards their GCSE Music. Head of Music Lisa was also fantastic and helped rally together the students.
