Love Your Neighbourhood Campaign Launch

We will be attending the Love Your Neighbourhood Campaign launch event at Coombes Community Centre in Royston (on 17th June) and at Westmill Community Centre in Hitchin (on 24th June).

The Love Your Neighbourhood Campaign is backed by the North Herts Local Strategic Partnership and will bring together 100 days of activities including advice about healthy living, home security, the opportunity to join Time Bank and more on how to make your neighbourhood bloom.

WoodHouse College Youth Event

We worked with some really talented Rappers for the day who shared their skills and know-how with lots of up-and-coming artists.

Skill For Growth Workshop

At the Skills For Growth Workshop we worked with adults who have mild to moderate learning difficulties. We did an amazing workshop with over 20 adults and even took 3 of them on as volunteers to work full time in our studio and help out in the office. Well done guys.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Event

DJ & MC Academy have teamed up with BBC and The FA Cup to run a full day at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to teach over 100 young people how to DJ and Radio Present. Alongside our team of tutors we had some amazing special guest Tough Love, Melody Kane and DJ Target. They gave a wealth of advice and even taught the young people some of their amazing skills.

Smurf to write track distributed by Atlantic Records

Mathew AKA Smurf who has been involved in the Academy since it started in 2008 has had a huge opportunity to write for a track which is to be distributed via Atlantic Records. Mathew now 18 has been a very talented rapper from the age of 11 years old and is currently working on his EP. The Academy had a opportunity to get him involved in the making of a Rock song which he welcomed and wrote some incredible lyrics. Well Done Mathew :)

Barnet College Radio Shows

We are now on the way of putting together Radio Shows with Barnet College within Krissy's class we have found some incredible talent and every show has had the elements of humour, talent and pure great music. Well done to all the students for giving it 100 percent.

New 1 Hour Bite-Sized Team Building Days

Team building with a twist is our aim at the DJ & MC Academy. We are now launching our 1 hour bite sized team building days so that Companys don't need to spend thousands to get their team really bonding, having fun and really getting to know each other. Watch this space for our promo video coming out very soon and if you want to try something different but will have a huge positive impact on your staff please contact the team.

Tottenham Project a huge success

Our Tottenham project has come to the end of the winter season. The DJ & MC Academy outreach and engagement project was a great success and we managed to involve over 50 young people who got involved in singing, dancing, rapping and even beat boxing. Well done to Sharpey, D Sharp and the other team for ensuring the young people had an amazing time.

C Cane appears on Radio 1 with DJ Cameo

C Cane know as Candice who has been signed to MD records for the last 20 months has now gone on to perform on Radio 1 with DJ Cameo and the team and is currently finishing a track with Zed Bias the rapper who has some fantastic talent is currently finishing her album and can be seen at many big events all over London. It goes to show with hard work and determination and of course the main one talent if you have belief in yourself and others around you do then you can reach the stars. Well done Candice we are very proud of you :)

Isabel chosen via the academy to appear on MTV series

One of our many amazing young people Isabel who is a fantastic singer songwriter has been chosen via the DJ & MC Academy to be in a series for MTV about young people and their passions. On the day of the filming Isabel was interviewed about what she loves and what prevents her from being bored and she even got to show off her talent in our state of the art studio in North London and then on our DJ wheels of Steel. Well done Izzy you go girl :)

Recording Studio Parties at TAB

Recording studio parties at Tab have started as of October 2014 and have had many fantastic success.

We have been offering our studio with one of our fantastic Academy engineers to record young peoples favourite songs and just give them a party to remember. If you are organising your child's Birthday party then if you want to do something different and have something to play them back when they are 18 then this is something you would like to book, contact the team.
